TCT offers several scholarships for qualifying seniors and a trip to Washington, D.C. for qualifying juniors. Below you will find information about all of these programs. To qualify for scholarships the applicants' parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must have landline telephone service with TCT. Cellular numbers do not qualify.
The TCT Board of Directors scholarship ($1,000) -- 5 students will be selected. Applications are due March 1, 2012. The student's guidance counselor and principle must sign applications. Winners will be selected by a random drawing by the TCT Board of Directors at the March 2012 board meeting. The selected recipients will be asked to attend the March 27, 2012 annual meeting.

PRIMO scholarship ($500) -- applications must be postmarked by March 18, 2012. Preference will be given to a student majoring in Marketing, Public Relations or a telecommunications related field.

Foundation for Rural Service scholarship ($2,500) -- applications must be post marked by March 1, 2012. Dale Jones, CEO of TCT, must sign all applications. A link to the application is included below. This scholarship must be mailed, by the applicant, directly to the Foundation for Rural Service.

The FRS Staurulakis Family Scholarship ($5,000) -- 4 scholarships available and preference will be given to students with an interest in science, math, medicine, or engineering. The same application for the Foundation for Rural Service Scholarship will be used. Same guidelines for the Foundation for Rural Service scholarship apply.

The Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Youth Tour in Washington, D.C., June 2-6, 2012. TCT will again sponsor qualifying students to attend. The youth tour provides students from rural areas with a first-hand look at the telecommunications industry and government processes. Attendees will get the opportunity to spend four days in the nation's capitol visiting famous historical sites, including the Washington Monument, the Smithsonian Institution, the National Cathedral, the US Capitol, Arlington Cemetery and more.
To qualify for the FRS Youth Tour; students must be a senior in the fall of 2012, carry a 3.0 grade point average, write an essay and provide letters of recommendation. Airfare, hotel, meals and other amenities will be provided complements of TCT. Deadline for the youth tour application is April 1, 2012. Application forms will be mailed to you, along with promotional items.
